Story Time: The BagTowel Saved My Life

-

"This past weekend I was competing in the historic Wildflower Triathlon about an hour north of San Luis Obisbo. My training group rented two king-size RVs to drive from San Francisco and I was one of the drivers. Imagine getting yourself prepped for a Triathlon then adding the commotion of getting 8 crazy people who think swimming then biking then running in one morning is a good time; all packed into an RV for 4 days.

It wasn’t until I went to take a shower at the camping grounds that I realized I forgot to pack regular towels beyond my race towel. I was putting my fresh clothes & shampoo & soap into my bag towel when all of a sudden I realized…I can use my bag towel. It saved the day. But that’s not the end of the story. In this race there are 2 transition areas. Usually there is one transition area where athletes change from swim to bike, then bike to run. In this course, you swim and then run two miles to where your bike and run transition area is located. I only had one towel & two spots to transition during the race. While the race gives you white bags to put all of your stuff in, I had The BagTowel to carry my wetsuit and gear with me down to the swim AND use as a towel when I got out of the water. The utility of the bag towel saved my butt in real time. Got barreled, yo!"
